I was walking down the canal in Camden North London in the dark listening to the news about the collapse of the Climate Change Summit......... pretty depressing stuff if half of the hype is to be believed......... anyway it is depressing to think the worlds leaders and diplomats cannot even agree on a joint plan........ just as I was thinking these depressing thoughts about about the state of world politics and leadership.......... I suddenly saw in the water this dead bird .............. as I looked a floating leaf seemed to leave its mouth....... for all the world like the dove of peace losing its grip on the olive branch....... I brought up the camera to shoot as the leaf passed on............ It was seriously dark.......... I managed to shoot this anyway......... this is not really a representative moment........... but it felt weirdly profound while hanging out watching it unfold with the doom of the climate talks ringing in my ears..........
